I took me wedding dress to Sew Quick as I needed some alterations made to me dress. Pamela was recommended to me & I'm so glad she was as the alterations 'ave been finished to such a 'igh standard, an amazing job Pamela, thank you so much & I can't wait to wear it on me big day this coming Saturday. I'm absolutely delighted with it & would highly recommend Pamela for all your dress alterations. Cheers!
I am penning down this review to inform others that Pamela has taken over Sew Quick. Lately, I got two sets of curtains modified and the job was top-notch.
Well, let me tell you, I popped in on Monday morning hoping to get my suit jacket slimmed down and my trousers tapered and shortened, all needed by Wednesday. It was a bit last-minute as I needed the suit for my father's funeral on Thursday. But Pamela and her colleague were incredibly understanding and managed to squeeze me in despite the tight timeline. Within just 48 hours, they had everything altered perfectly and the service was truly outstanding. The cost was also very reasonable. I can't thank them enough and I'll definitely be returning in the future for any alterations I may need. This is definitely the go-to place, and it's conveniently local too. Outstanding service, I must say! Pamela did a splendid job with my dress for the Ball. The prices were quite reasonable too. I am absolutely delighted with the result.
I must say, this establishment is an absolute sham! The way they treat their customers is simply appalling and rude. I wouldn't even treat my worst enemy in such a manner. The moment I walked in, I was met with a disdainful look and a blunt demand of what I wanted, instead of a polite inquiry of how they could assist me. Needless to say, I promptly turned on my heel and left. I strongly advise against visiting this place - it's not worth your time and you'll only end up feeling let down.

Absolutely dreadful service - I was a regular customer at this establishment before it changed ownership and never encountered any issues. I traveled for half an hour to have a dress assessed for alterations, only to be told, "I don't do that," by the person on duty. The individual responsible for pinning dresses was absent and might return within an hour...
Upon returning after one hour and forty minutes, I was informed, "She's still not back, but she'll be here shortly. It's your choice if you want to wait." I waited for an additional 15 minutes, during which another customer arrived to pick up a pair of trousers, only to be told, "They're not ready yet." When the customer explained that she had been instructed to come on Saturday morning to collect them, the staff member told her to "return later." Keep in mind, they were closing in an hour, and she was preoccupied and on the phone the entire time while interacting with customers. I decided to leave as I had already wasted two hours with no progress and needed to return to my own job. Their customer service skills are non-existent, and their time management is abysmal - I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.
I'm absolutely chuffed with the alterations that were made and how quickly they were completed. The pricing was quite reasonable as well. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the quality of the work. Cheers!

The owner, Margaret, stands out as a true pro in every facet of this business. For a good 25 years now, she's been working her magic on my wardrobe, handling all sorts of fabrics from leather to denim. Margaret's keen attention to detail and mastery of her craft are truly remarkable. With very competitive pricing and top-notch quality, you can't go wrong here.
I popped in to have my uniform tailored, and let me tell you, I was gobsmacked! The uniform appeared as though it had just been plucked off the rack, the shirt fit me like a glove from the get-go, and the jacket was simply smashing! I'll certainly return for any future alterations needed. Top-notch service! 👍🏼
Absolutely dreadful craftsmanship! I picked up a £99 pair of trousers only to discover that one leg was shorter than the other. I specifically gave the correct measurements. After taking them back to be fixed, they are now the same length but lack enough hem allowance to hang properly. I am extremely disappointed and would never consider returning or recommending this service. It's clear that the trousers have been completely ruined and were not even stitched properly.
Absolute rubbish service, didn't even lay eyes on me garment! I requested next day service as they boast about same-day alterations, but the owner's attitude was beyond rude – I was gobsmacked. Would not advise, not one bit.
Very polite and helpful staff, and the clothing alterations were done really well. I highly recommend their services for anyone looking to get their garments tailored.
Absolutely dreadful experience with the staff, still waiting for a simple zip fix after a week. The attitude from them was just unacceptable, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. It's clear they are not passionate about what they do and should not be in a customer-facing role. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere for your alterations.
Absolutely brilliant! We were in a bit of a pickle as we had a wedding to go to and my frock only came in two days before the event. The back straps were too snug and the dress was way too long by about 4 inches. Running out of time to hunt for a new outfit, but not to worry, Sew Quick came to the rescue. They worked their magic by transforming it into a backless beauty and expertly shortening it without losing any of the gorgeous detailing. They even tailored another fancy dress for me and perfectly altered my husband's suit. Everything turned out just right and 'sew quick'. Thank you, ladies x
