I had an extremely distressing and discriminatory encounter at the Zara store in Union Square, Aberdeen, on the 30th of March, around 4 PM. The incident involved obvious mistreatment, bullying, and an intrusion of privacy by the store staff in the women’s fitting room.

It all started when I was informed that my partner couldn't accompany me to the fitting room simply because he's a man. There were no signs or policies displayed near the fitting rooms, and upon checking the store’s policy, I found no prohibition against men entering. Additionally, there wasn't a unisex fitting room available. The staff seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than assisting us in resolving the issue. Moreover, other men were also being denied entry to the women’s fitting room with their partners.

As I tried on clothes and wanted to show them to my partner, the entire store began staring at me. It was extremely uncomfortable, and I felt my privacy was being violated. Other women in the fitting room seemed to be in a similar predicament. When my partner entered to help, the staff began gossiping about us and eyeing us suspiciously, almost as if we were attempting theft. The situation escalated when the staff shouted at my partner for putting jeans in the wrong place, a task that should have been their responsibility.

I had come to purchase multiple items, including trainers, tops, jeans, and dresses as a birthday gift for myself the next day. Zara had been my preferred store for years, and I even had a family tradition of shopping there before my birthday. Nevertheless, after this incident, I will no longer be a patron.

I requested to speak with the store manager, identified as ID #81636, who exacerbated the conflict. She wrongly accused my partner of causing trouble, mentioning a supposed complaint from an elderly customer. However, we had only attempted to enter the fitting room once, and my partner was halted before we even stepped inside. Instead of addressing the issue, the manager was impolite, dismissive, and confrontational, leaving me feeling discriminated against, harassed, and humiliated.

Upon investigating, I discovered multiple similar complaints online, indicating a recurring pattern of behavior from the store’s staff. I reported the incident to store security, Union Square management, and the authorities. The events can be confirmed via CCTV footage, and I am currently lodging complaints with Zara head office, Union Square, and a consumer rights association.

If you have undergone similar situations at this Zara establishment, I encourage you to reach out to me. I aim to unite other victims to file a collective complaint or perhaps a lawsuit against Zara.

This encounter has left me profoundly disheartened in a brand I once cherished. I hope Zara takes steps to address this mistreatment; however, at present, I cannot recommend this store to anyone, particularly women - as it is simply not safe.

Well, well, always a queue at this establishment! It seems they struggle to accommodate the high number of customers. If you are on the lookout for bargains, you might just stumble upon a good deal, although not always in your size. The prices, however, are quite reasonable. 🛍

This boutique is absolutely dreadful, with a complete absence of customer service every step of the way! This is the third occasion where I've had to return items and leave in frustration, along with seven other dissatisfied customers, while the lone staff member at the register seems to be in a world of their own. The lack of managerial ability is truly shocking. There's a profound sense of disinterest and apathy evident throughout all levels of the store.

I had a really disappointing experience at the clothing store. I ordered a product online and went to the store to pick it up, but the employee told me it wasn't in stock. I asked if there would be another delivery that day so I could come back before my holiday, but she said no more deliveries were expected. I was puzzled because I had selected a delivery date and hadn't been notified of any delays. I requested her to check in the back to see if my item had been missed, but she insisted all items had been scanned and mine wasn't coming that day without even looking.

After I left the mall, I received an email saying my product was actually in store. If only she had told me they were still processing deliveries instead of claiming everything was ready, I would have waited. But since I had already paid for parking, I didn't want to go back and pay for it again. The employee's attitude and lack of effort were really disappointing.

I contacted customer service and was promised compensation and a refund for the product I never received. However, a month later, I haven't received either. When I called again, they said they wouldn't compensate me. Overall, the customer service I received was just awful.
