Exploring Livingston Designer Outlet: A Comprehensive Guide

Livingston Designer Outlet, located in the heart of Livingston, is a shopping haven for both locals and visitors. With its unique offerings and extensive range of shops, it caters to all kinds of shoppers. Here’s everything you need to know before you visit.

Parking Options

When it comes to parking, Livingston Designer Outlet offers a paid multi-storey car park and a paid parking lot where rates are competitive at just 50p per hour. For those needing accessible options, there is a wheelchair-accessible car park. Unfortunately, several visitors have reported difficulties with parking enforcement, highlighting the importance of checking your ticket validity to avoid unexpected fines. For a more budget-friendly option, there is also a free parking lot available for shoppers. However, be cautious about the two-hour parking limit often enforced during peak hours.

Shop 'Til You Drop

The outlet boasts an impressive selection of both high-end brands and everyday shops. You’ll find popular names like Nike, Adidas, and Primark, alongside boutique stores offering something a little different. Many shoppers appreciate the in-store shopping experience, noting the excellent variety and availability across most stores. However, expectations should be managed; while the outlet does offer some discounts, not every store features significant markdowns on their products compared to regular retail price points.

Food and On-Site Services

Food choices within the outlet can be varied, though some visitors suggest a more vibrant selection of healthy options would enhance the experience. The food court features multiple outlets, catering to diverse tastes, including a well-received Wetherspoon and several fast-food chains. For families, the mall also provides engaging on-site services like an indoor climbing wall and ping pong tables to keep kids entertained while parents shop. Visitors have noted that despite the cleanliness and decor, certain dining facilities could use improvement, particularly regarding restroom conditions.

Payment Flexibility

Livingston Designer Outlet accommodates various payment methods to enhance convenience for shoppers. You can use credit cards, debit cards, or even NFC mobile payments for contactless transactions. This flexibility makes it easy to manage your purchases without hassle.

Accessibility Matters

While many aspects of Livingston Designer Outlet are designed to be accessible, some customers have reported issues with the wheelchair-accessible entrance and lifts. It’s advisable for visitors with mobility challenges to plan their trip accordingly and consider calling ahead for updates on accessibility features.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, Livingston Designer Outlet provides a substantial shopping experience with a blend of mainstream brands and unique retailers. While the parking situation raises concerns for some, the variety of shops, food options, and overall atmosphere make it worth a visit. Whether you are hunting for great deals or simply looking for a fun day out with family and friends, this outlet mall has something for everyone. Don’t forget to check opening hours before you go, as many restaurants remain open later than the shops.

If ye be residing in Edinburgh or Glasgow and have a passion for shopping, then this outlet mall be the perfect spot for ye. It boasts a plethora of designer shops, a wide array of dining options, and quaint coffee shops for all ye foodies out there. However, be warned that finding a parking spot can prove to be a bit of a challenge at times due to the bustling nature of the place.

There be two parts to this outlet, mate. The first part, just across from McDonald's, is where you'll find the fancy brand shops and sporty stores. It's a right big place inside with loads to see.

The other side is where you'll spot ASDA, Primark, Poundland, and Claire's. Sadly, the toilets near ASDA are a proper mess. Nearly all the sinks are out of order, the loo is filthy, and there be blood stains on the door. It's shocking, really, especially since the rest of the outlet is kept clean.

On the bright side, they have an indoor climbing wall for the little ones and indoor ping pong for some fun.

Absolutely smashing gym, top-notch steam room, and whatnot. The bed was massive, brekkie was spot on, but me only gripe is we didn't stay longer, you know. xxx
Ralph Long (30/08/2025, 07:52):
There were loads of shops to choose gifts from. The staff in the shops were really helpful overall, and there was a fab selection of places to grab a bite or a drink.
Benjamin Richardson (30/08/2025, 03:51):
A jolly good variety of shops to be found here. Parking can be a spot tricky what with all the shoppers, particularly on the weekends, don't you know.
Don't be expecting rock-bottom prices, but do anticipate a wide selection and some decent discounts in the Outlet section. The other part of the Outlet area is just your typical shops with prices as you'd find elsewhere in the UK. Cheers!

Shopping and more shopping! Whether you're a dedicated shopaholic or just enjoy a leisurely browse, this outlet mall is a fantastic destination. You'll find a wide array of top brands with great selections and deals.

I popped by Livingston Centre yesterday with me mates from Nottingham.
Had a cracking day, loads of shops and dining spots to choose from.
We hit up The Newyear Field, Wetherspoons, and the grub was top-notch. I went for the fish 'n' chips, proper delicious and a steal of a price.
Highly recommend a visit, mate.

Good day,

I realize that you may not be particularly interested in my feedback, but I feel it is necessary to shed light on the practices of the parking management company at the outlet mall.

The Issue:

After parking in a designated mobility bay at the Red Car Park at LDO and displaying my badge (although I should have checked the small signage), I received a parking charge notice from UKPA on 05/02/2025 for £100, discounted to £60 if paid by 31/01/2025. I only noticed this discount offer after a few days, and it struck me as quite sneaky.

Despite paying the full amount of £100 on 06/02/2015 (as the notice arrived late), I attempted to contact UKPA to discuss the discount, but to no avail. It seems they have made it near impossible to address any concerns directly.

It makes me wonder how many other customers have been affected similarly without realizing it. Many reviews highlight this issue, with customers stating they won't return. In my case, I can afford the extra £40, but not everyone can.

I anticipate a response from LDO apologizing for the situation and expressing a commitment to resolving such issues. Why not simply clarify which parking areas are managed by UKPA at the entrance? You must be aware of these ongoing problems.

Farewell, LDO.

Keith Ortiz (18/08/2025, 12:26):
Absolutely top-notch shopping experience with prices that won't break the bank. The atmosphere is delightful, and you won't find such a wide selection of designer stores all in one place anywhere else. Plus, the parking is inexpensive and easy to find, and there's even a convenient bus service that connects to Glasgow/Edinburgh Airport. Truly a gem for savvy shoppers!
Michael Clark (17/08/2025, 12:57):

This here mall is quite lovely, with a fancy designer outlet close by. You can find around 120 various shops and it's a jolly good spot to spend some time, especially with a Vue cinema nearby. The parking lot is quite spacious, which is quite convenient. It would have been smashing if there were more dining options though, as they seemed a bit limited compared to other places. Cheers!
Jennifer Wright (05/08/2025, 15:01):
