Exploring Livingston Designer Outlet: A Comprehensive Guide

Livingston Designer Outlet, located in the heart of Livingston, is a shopping haven for both locals and visitors. With its unique offerings and extensive range of shops, it caters to all kinds of shoppers. Here’s everything you need to know before you visit.

Parking Options

When it comes to parking, Livingston Designer Outlet offers a paid multi-storey car park and a paid parking lot where rates are competitive at just 50p per hour. For those needing accessible options, there is a wheelchair-accessible car park. Unfortunately, several visitors have reported difficulties with parking enforcement, highlighting the importance of checking your ticket validity to avoid unexpected fines. For a more budget-friendly option, there is also a free parking lot available for shoppers. However, be cautious about the two-hour parking limit often enforced during peak hours.

Shop 'Til You Drop

The outlet boasts an impressive selection of both high-end brands and everyday shops. You’ll find popular names like Nike, Adidas, and Primark, alongside boutique stores offering something a little different. Many shoppers appreciate the in-store shopping experience, noting the excellent variety and availability across most stores. However, expectations should be managed; while the outlet does offer some discounts, not every store features significant markdowns on their products compared to regular retail price points.

Food and On-Site Services

Food choices within the outlet can be varied, though some visitors suggest a more vibrant selection of healthy options would enhance the experience. The food court features multiple outlets, catering to diverse tastes, including a well-received Wetherspoon and several fast-food chains. For families, the mall also provides engaging on-site services like an indoor climbing wall and ping pong tables to keep kids entertained while parents shop. Visitors have noted that despite the cleanliness and decor, certain dining facilities could use improvement, particularly regarding restroom conditions.

Payment Flexibility

Livingston Designer Outlet accommodates various payment methods to enhance convenience for shoppers. You can use credit cards, debit cards, or even NFC mobile payments for contactless transactions. This flexibility makes it easy to manage your purchases without hassle.

Accessibility Matters

While many aspects of Livingston Designer Outlet are designed to be accessible, some customers have reported issues with the wheelchair-accessible entrance and lifts. It’s advisable for visitors with mobility challenges to plan their trip accordingly and consider calling ahead for updates on accessibility features.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, Livingston Designer Outlet provides a substantial shopping experience with a blend of mainstream brands and unique retailers. While the parking situation raises concerns for some, the variety of shops, food options, and overall atmosphere make it worth a visit. Whether you are hunting for great deals or simply looking for a fun day out with family and friends, this outlet mall has something for everyone. Don’t forget to check opening hours before you go, as many restaurants remain open later than the shops.

There is a great variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants available at this outlet mall. It is well-maintained and clean, making for a pleasant shopping experience. Additionally, parking is only £2 per day, which is a fantastic deal.

This place is absolutely massive and incredible! You can discover a plethora of top-notch brands here. There's a kids' playground, a food court, and everything in between. The parking fee is an absolute steal at only 50p per hour. Additionally, you'll find most major banks located conveniently on the premises. If you're looking to spend a whole day shopping, this outlet mall is the perfect spot for you without a doubt. Both a shopping center and a design outlet are available here. I highly recommend it!
Zoey Carter (14/06/2025, 05:50):
Top spot to hit up if you're after a smorgasbord of goods all in one place. From high-end designer boutiques to budget-friendly stores, plus a ton of dining and entertainment options like a cinema. And to top it off, super affordable parking too.
Patrick Powell (14/06/2025, 04:34):
I absolutely adore this shopping haven! I find myself drawn back like clockwork every month to peruse the latest arrivals. It's simply irresistible! 🛍️✨

A shopping center with a really good vibe. Most of the stores are filled up. The food options are pretty decent too.
Julie Myers (06/06/2025, 03:08):
An excellent spot to procure trendy clothes from renowned brand outlets at discounted rates, as the styles may be from a year or two back.
Judy Kim (05/06/2025, 18:20):
A great selection of stores at the outlet mall, ranging from outdoor gear to casual and even more formal attire. The food court is perfect for satisfying your hunger, with a decent variety of restaurants available. There are also plenty of coffee shops where you can relax with a drink or snack, meet up with friends, or grab a quick takeaway!
Willie Green (02/06/2025, 16:13):
I had not visited the "old" centre in quite some time and I was very disappointed. It seemed like the security staff were all taking a day off, as there were kids riding their bikes and electric scooters through the center with no security in sight. I decided to stop by Greggs near the post office, but it turned out to be a big mistake. The place was in such a state that if I had seen it before buying my cup of tea, I would have not bothered. Despite it not being busy, with only two tables in use, I had to clean a table myself before I could even sit down. I always believed that Livingston Centre was better than this, but it may be a long time before I visit again.
Kimberly Gonzalez (01/06/2025, 06:31):
An excellent selection of designer stores, having all the top sporting brands in one place is a great advantage. There are plenty of deals to be found as well.
Rachel Henderson (31/05/2025, 17:06):
Absolutely dreadful. I took my disabled parents with me to the Outlet mall. Since you can park anywhere for free with a disabled badge, I didn't think to double-check and ended up getting slapped with a £100 fine. It felt like pure profiteering. To make matters worse, while shopping in M and S, the staff were incredibly unhelpful. They simply chatted amongst themselves and didn't even bother to respond when my disabled mother thanked them and said goodbye as we paid. Needless to say, I won't be returning to that place.
Katherine Henderson (31/05/2025, 16:44):
I absolutely adore visiting this place! It's always so clean and well-kept, with a plethora of dining options to enjoy a leisurely meal or grab a quick coffee. The variety of shops is fantastic too!
Grace Harris (31/05/2025, 02:20):
There are not many top brands like Ralph Lauren, Coach, Hugo Boss, or Sunglass Hut available at this outlet mall. The selection is quite limited. I would recommend going to the New York outlets for a better and wider range of options.
Logan Flores (28/05/2025, 08:12):
Plenty of fabulous shops to choose from, absolutely brilliant!
Henry Richardson (27/05/2025, 13:53):
There are loads of shops with fantastic bargains and plenty of spots to grab a bite to eat while you're there.
Heather Ford (26/05/2025, 23:34):
What a fantastic spot to spend the day indulging in some retail therapy! An abundance of stores, incredible deals, and a wide array of dining options await. Ample parking on offer as well, with rates as low as 50p per hour if you scout around. A shopper's paradise, indeed!
John Hamilton (24/05/2025, 17:35):
Cautionary tale, folks! The parking situation at this outlet can be a bit dodgy. You might think you're in the clear if you've paid for your parking and hold a ticket, but beware - you could still find yourself slapped with a parking fine!

My experience left a lot to be desired, especially as someone with a disability. Paying for a ticket for over 4 hours of parking only to end up with a fine in the mail is just not on. We parked near the main entrance but had to move the car closer to TK Maxx due to my disability. Despite appealing and providing evidence of our valid ticket, our plea was rejected. It's a mystery to us why we received this fine. It appears that the designer outlet's parking lot is managed by some shady characters, and it seems like Livingston Designer Outlet is aware of the situation but chooses to turn a blind eye.

I used to frequent this place several times a year, but after this experience, I won't be returning. Why bother with all the hassle when you can visit Silverburn or The Fort in Glasgow, where parking is free and there are no such shenanigans?
Jonathan Russell (24/05/2025, 03:48):
This outlet is fantastic! It’s a one-stop shop for all your shopping needs. They have all the top brands available at very affordable prices.
Evelyn Roberts (23/05/2025, 20:42):
Absolutely top-notch shopping experience at the outlet mall. Tons of shops with a wide variety of goods to choose from. Parking is superb and plenty of dining options to recharge. Highly recommend for a fantastic day of retail therapy!
Diane Russell (22/05/2025, 00:19):
Went to the outlet for some Christmas shopping and boy, were we pleased! Found everything we were looking for in one place and at great prices. Can't wait to come back 😃...
