Absolutely brilliant store and top-notch guidance.
Kirsty, the physio, worked wonders on my leg concern in just one session. I had visited another physio three times for the same problem, but they couldn't quite hit the mark. This setback kept me off my training for almost 8 weeks. However, after just one appointment with Kirsty, I was back to running within a week.

Moreover, I recently snagged my new pair of trainers from the store. Despite the busy atmosphere, I still felt incredibly well taken care of. Kudos to all for the fantastic job!

I visited this running store approximately 3 months ago in search of running shoes as a newcomer to the sport. After experiencing shin pain with a pair I had purchased online, I decided to seek assistance at the store. I was assisted by a young lad who was quite amiable. I had chosen this store primarily due to their advertised gait analysis service. However, the analysis turned out to be a simple request for me to walk barefoot back and forth for observation. The lad identified that I required shoes with arch support based on my foot landing pattern. He suggested several pairs for me to try on, and I ended up purchasing a pair of Hoka shoes that aligned with his recommendations, costing me £150. Sadly, during my next run, I developed blisters on my arches. Upon contacting the store for advice, I was advised to try using specific running socks, which set me back another £40. Despite this, I continued to suffer from blisters all over my arches. I am rather disappointed by the hefty amount spent on shoes that ultimately did not suit my arch height. It seems I must restart my quest for finding suitable running footwear!

It’s a right tough skill for true experts to chat with beginners without sounding snooty or scary. This is a skill that all at Achilles heel have got down pat. I popped in for my first set of proper running kicks and they took all the time needed to find me the perfect pair. Ever since, my mileage has gone up and all the aches I had from my old shoes are gone. They didn’t push pricier options on me, just made sure I walked out with the right fit. Really top-notch atmosphere!
