Service Options and Payments

While shopping, customers can utilize various payment options, including credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments for a quick and seamless checkout process. However, some shoppers have expressed concerns regarding the limited number of staff during peak hours, leading to long queues. A customer remarked, "Always a massive queue," highlighting the need for better staffing at checkouts when traffic increases.

Great Produce and Amenities

Many reviews praise the great produce available at Lidl. Shoppers have noted the freshness of fruits, vegetables, and baked goods, with one stating, "Lovely easy peeler clementine, apple & mango... sweet & juicy too." The store also boasts plenty of space in the aisles, which enhances the shopping experience, especially for those with mobility issues.

Recycling and Same-Day Delivery

The In-Store Shopping Experience

Despite the good selection of products, some shoppers have shared frustrations about the checkout experience. Supermarket is a fantastic place to shop with amazing deals, delightful baked goods, and a lovely selection of plants and flowers. Can't wait to visit again soon! Cheers!
Janet Anderson (04/06/2025, 12:53):
Great selection of products! The staff is super friendly and polite. Plus, they have hand sanitizing products right when you walk in the door!
Evelyn Walker (04/06/2025, 08:52):
I love shopping at Supermarket, the prices and food are great. However, I have to say the staff at the Stevenson branch leave much to be desired! There are a couple of lovely ladies working there, but the management is just dreadful. The way they handle things is simply disgraceful.
Stephanie Mitchell (01/06/2025, 00:51):
Delightful fresh pastries and cakes baked daily, all at very affordable prices.

Well, it's a bit of a mixed bag! This discount supermarket located on the outskirts of Dalry offers a decent variety of food and household essentials, but don't expect to find many well-known brands here. They do have a bakery section that freshly bakes bread and rolls, and then there are those intriguing "mystery bargain buckets" selling unexpected items like a two-handed axe, boots, or even a hedge trimmer at great prices. The main downside is that there is usually only one checkout open, so be prepared to queue depending on when you visit.
Jessica Adams (31/05/2025, 11:54):
Just popped in to grab 3 items, the store seemed rather quiet, but when I reached the checkout, there was a lengthy queue with just 1 register open. Usually, the service is much more efficient.
Kelly Hughes (31/05/2025, 05:06):
I am quite perturbed by the fact that I am unable to find a shopping cart with proper restraints for my little one who has a habit of climbing out and leaping off when left unattended. The store does have these trolleys available, but they seem to always be occupied, which renders them quite useless. In fact, today I had to drive all the way to Irvine due to my frustration with this recurring issue.
Bobby Anderson (30/05/2025, 12:39):
Still a jolly good supermarket. The chaps there are ever so helpful and friendly, I must say.
Austin Flores (26/05/2025, 17:01):
You know, there are still quite a few folks out there who tend to turn up their noses at Lidl (and Aldi), the two stores competing for discount shop supremacy. But if you can see past the aisles packed with unfamiliar brands (ones you’ve never come across before), you'll realize there are some great deals to be found. Swing by with your M&S bags and stock up soon 🍎🍏🍑🍊🍋🍌🥑🥕🥦🥬🍞🌰🥜🥖🥐🫓 😁😁😁

UPDATE: I've been popping in and out pretty regularly now, and the latest is... not much has really changed. It's still more budget-friendly than most of the big-name supermarkets (you know who they are). It's becoming our go-to store.
Samantha Rivera (25/05/2025, 23:11):
Everything one could need, absolutely stocked and spotless. The staff is quite friendly and accommodating. The prices are truly outstanding.
Brandon Powell (25/05/2025, 01:52):
In general, my time at Lidl has been quite underwhelming, and I would think twice about suggesting it to anyone else. Hopefully, they can enhance their product standards and customer care moving forward.
