Exploring Lidl Supermarket in Glasgow

If you're looking for a budget-friendly shopping experience in Glasgow, Lidl offers an array of choices that cater to both everyday needs and unique finds. This supermarket provides various service options to ensure a convenient shopping journey for all customers.

Store Highlights

One of the main highlights of the Lidl store in Glasgow is its commitment to providing great produce. Shoppers praise the selection of local Scottish fruits and vegetables, as well as other affordable groceries. In addition, the store boasts an in-store bakery, offering a range of freshly baked goods that have quickly become favorites among patrons.

Accessibility and Amenities

Lidl prioritizes accessibility by providing a wheelchair-accessible entrance and ample parking space, including a wheelchair-accessible car park. Customers who rely on public transport will find this store conveniently located near good transport links.

The store is also equipped with various on-site services, such as self-checkout and well-maintained facilities. However, feedback suggests areas for improvement, particularly regarding cleanliness, especially in the toilet facilities where some customers have expressed concerns.

Payments Made Easy

When it comes to payment options, Lidl offers flexibility. While credit and debit cards are widely accepted, some self-service checkouts do not support cash payments, leading to mixed reviews regarding customer experience. It's essential to be aware of these payment options before heading to the checkout.

Shopping Experience and Quick Visits

The Lidl store caters to quick visits for those in a hurry. Many customers appreciate that despite being busy, the checkout process tends to be efficient, ensuring you can grab your essentials without lengthy delays.

Recycling and Sustainability Efforts

As part of Lidl's commitment to sustainability, there is a recycling point available for customers, emphasizing the store's aim to reduce waste and promote eco-friendly practices.

Delivery Options

For those who prefer shopping from the comfort of their homes, Lidl offers delivery options. Utilizing the Plus app enhances your experience, allowing you to access exclusive deals and promotions that further reduce costs.

Great quality grub, with fresh Scottish goodies at decent prices. I'd definitely recommend it.
Christina Murphy (02/06/2025, 20:30):
There are tons of bargains to be had at this supermarket. The only downside is that some stores may not carry everything you need, so you might have to visit another supermarket to complete your shopping. However, the deals make it worth it to pick up certain products here.
Cynthia White (31/05/2025, 20:56):
The store is really well-stocked, but dealing with customers can be a bit of a challenge due to some selfish attitudes. Make sure to keep an eye out for the parking situation, as you only get 1 1/2 hours.
Emily Mitchell (31/05/2025, 10:09):
I must say, I had a bit of a rough go at the supermarket today. You see, there was a bit of a snafu at the self-service checkout - one of the staff members seemed a tad confused when it came to loading paper into the printer. After waiting patiently for around 10 minutes, they had to reboot their system as they couldn't quite get the printer up and running. And wouldn't you know it, I needed a receipt for my shopping!
Walter Ortiz (30/05/2025, 09:12):
I have to say, this supermarket is top-notch! It's very well-kept and tidy. The only thing that needs improving is the reduced price stickers. When I check out items in the reduced bins, the main issue is that the prices are hard to read. Besides that, it's a fantastic store with a lovely team of staff.
Dennis Jackson (30/05/2025, 02:47):
I must say, I had a rather disappointing visit this time around after a somewhat pleasant one before. There was one staff member in particular who outright refused to entertain my concerns regarding the freshness assessment of the fruits and vegetables. The incidence of spoiled food seems to be quite significant here – without any expiration dates on the produce, it's all too easy to end up with moldy items. This store seems to be plagued by this issue. It appears that the staff members lack maturity and the training policy, as well as leadership, are sorely lacking here.
Brandon Collins (29/05/2025, 02:54):
Just like all Lidl stores, I must say it's a tad bit disappointing to see them venturing into clothing, gardening tools, cycling gear, etc. Let's leave that to the specialty shops. They should focus on providing top-notch budget-friendly food items.

I have to admit, the variety of foods here just doesn't measure up to the nearby Morrison's.

This particular store appears to be bigger and more well-lit compared to other Lidl branches. Same old layout and all that, you know.
Ruth Wright (27/05/2025, 17:39):
I often pop in this Supermarket for my weekly shop as the prices are great and they have unique products that you can't find anywhere else. The staff are always so friendly and the shelves are usually well-stocked.
Zachary Wright (27/05/2025, 13:31):
Not my usual spot, but when I'm in the area visiting me elderly uncle who lives in Partick, I frequently swing by this place. And let me tell you, I've always been quite impressed by the helpfulness of the staff here. There's this one chap, a young red-haired bloke sporting glasses, usually stationed at the checkout. He's an absolute gem, truly an asset to the company. His manners are top-notch and he handles everything with such ease. He really makes the whole shopping experience here a delight.
Rebecca Jordan (27/05/2025, 00:03):
I do quite enjoy frequenting this Lidl store. It boasts ample space compared to others, and the abundance of cash registers and self-checkout options ensures a swift checkout process. In contrast, some other Lidl locations can be dreadfully slow and irksome.
Megan Powell (25/05/2025, 23:20):
Gotta say, those cool meat displays and quirky product sections give the nearby Morrisons a bit of a rough time. They don't quite have the same selection of top-notch German sausages or delicious pain au chocolat, you know? It's a tad bothersome having to cross the road to get to this budget store paradise. Cheers!
Samantha Flores (25/05/2025, 17:52):
Lovely new, trendy store serving the student housing area. Spotless, well-stocked, and with friendly staff.
Plenty of fresh products available in the store.
Samuel Hughes (25/05/2025, 09:42):
One of the renowned and largest supermarkets in Glasgow. Impeccably tidy and organized. Ample availability of products. Lightning-fast checkout system. The staff and their services are top-notch.
