Exploring Lidl Supermarket in Glasgow

If you're looking for a budget-friendly shopping experience in Glasgow, Lidl offers an array of choices that cater to both everyday needs and unique finds. This supermarket provides various service options to ensure a convenient shopping journey for all customers.

Store Highlights

One of the main highlights of the Lidl store in Glasgow is its commitment to providing great produce. Shoppers praise the selection of local Scottish fruits and vegetables, as well as other affordable groceries. In addition, the store boasts an in-store bakery, offering a range of freshly baked goods that have quickly become favorites among patrons.

Accessibility and Amenities

Lidl prioritizes accessibility by providing a wheelchair-accessible entrance and ample parking space, including a wheelchair-accessible car park. Customers who rely on public transport will find this store conveniently located near good transport links.

The store is also equipped with various on-site services, such as self-checkout and well-maintained facilities. However, feedback suggests areas for improvement, particularly regarding cleanliness, especially in the toilet facilities where some customers have expressed concerns.

Payments Made Easy

When it comes to payment options, Lidl offers flexibility. While credit and debit cards are widely accepted, some self-service checkouts do not support cash payments, leading to mixed reviews regarding customer experience. It's essential to be aware of these payment options before heading to the checkout.

Shopping Experience and Quick Visits

The Lidl store caters to quick visits for those in a hurry. Many customers appreciate that despite being busy, the checkout process tends to be efficient, ensuring you can grab your essentials without lengthy delays.

Recycling and Sustainability Efforts

As part of Lidl's commitment to sustainability, there is a recycling point available for customers, emphasizing the store's aim to reduce waste and promote eco-friendly practices.

Delivery Options

For those who prefer shopping from the comfort of their homes, Lidl offers delivery options. Utilizing the Plus app enhances your experience, allowing you to access exclusive deals and promotions that further reduce costs.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, Lidl's Glasgow location stands out for its competitive prices, diverse offerings, and a strong focus on customer service. While there may be areas needing improvement, such as staff training and maintaining cleanliness, many shoppers continue to support the supermarket due to its fantastic prices and product quality. Absolutely adore Lidl, it's me go-to shop. Well worth the trek from Kelvinhaugh. Particularly fond of the tattie scones from Alba Bakeries, only available at Lidl. Can't fault any of it!
Susan Kelly (19/07/2025, 12:06):
I must say, this Lidl is quite splendid. The layout is spacious compared to some other Lidls, making it easy to navigate. They offer self-service options, although the scanning process can be a tad sluggish, so don't count on saving much time there. And let's not forget those delectable Portuguese tarts priced at just 49p - in my humble opinion, they are truly the most scrumptious treats one can indulge in.
Barbara Lopez (19/07/2025, 10:05):
You can find some great deals here, with products that rival big-name brands. The Special Buys at Lidl are always worth a look, featuring a variety of non-food items on rotation. You never know what gems you might uncover!
Ruth James (19/07/2025, 04:51):
"It's a little market. It's quite good."
Nicole Scott (18/07/2025, 12:00):
As a SEO specialist in a blog talking about supermarkets, I could rewrite the comment above with an English accent as follows:

At just minutes to 10pm, only one checkout was open, and the tension among us alcoholics in the queue was palpable. Then, our hero emerged. "If anyone's purchasing booze, kindly step forward, and I'll ring you up before the clock strikes 10," he declared. A round of applause erupted, and I glimpsed a lady shedding tears of joy. Kudos to your staff member Sam for managing a challenging scenario with finesse.
Theresa Rogers (18/07/2025, 09:59):
Decent prices, but I must say, the quality of certain items is a bit lacking, you know what I mean? I wouldn't necessarily suggest getting your fruits and frozen goods from this place. Just a little heads up for you all!
Eugene Graham (18/07/2025, 05:47):
This place is absolutely brilliant for your daily grocery needs, plus there are some cracking deals to be had while you're at it. You'll find a plethora of items at bargain prices.
Patricia Morris (17/07/2025, 21:39):
The latest Lidl stores are springing up all over the place, becoming larger each time. Farewell Asda and similar competitors... hopefully sooner rather than later, excellent food, and well-thought-out pricing strategies. 100%
Gabriel Miller (16/07/2025, 12:38):
I've been a dedicated patron of Lidl for quite some time now. However, I have noticed a noticeable drop in the quality of their products lately. Just last Friday, I purchased a jar of Baresa Tomato & Chilli Pasta sauce. To my dismay, when I attempted to open it today, I discovered that it wasn't properly sealed and there was fungus growing inside the jar. This experience has left me feeling let down by Lidl. It's vital that they take steps to guarantee that loyal customers who are willing to part with their hard-earned money aren't being taken advantage of.
Paul Morris (16/07/2025, 01:21):
Lidl Partick is our go-to supermarket in the neighborhood. We absolutely adore shopping there for their affordable prices and fresh selection of fruits and vegetables. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. It truly makes the shopping experience a pleasant one.
Daniel Moore (14/07/2025, 12:01):
Like in all markets, there are both great deals and not-so-great deals. Lidl offers a variety of useful products for the home and family at excellent prices. It is definitely a good place to shop overall.
Amy Stewart (14/07/2025, 05:50):
Honestly one of the top grocery store chains in the UK. While they may not always have everything in stock, just approach your shopping list with an open mind and you'll be pleasantly surprised. I find myself spending half the amount here compared to other stores for the same items. And don't overlook the discounted section!
Nicole Smith (11/07/2025, 21:33):
Supermarket is a fantastic spot for all your shopping needs.
Jeremy Murphy (08/07/2025, 06:39):
Ye have 6 self-service checkouts, but sadly most of 'em don't take cash payments, so ye end up standin' in the second-class citizen line while folks payin' with cards who were behind ye in the queue saunter past to pay. Not a fan, I'll be headin' over to Morrison's just across the road where cash is welcome at all the checkouts...
Karen Richardson (07/07/2025, 12:39):
I perused some previous reviews right after my most recent visit. The self-service checkouts are absolutely disgraceful. A previous reviewer even shared photos. Regardless of the prices, this level of uncleanliness is utterly unacceptable and seems to have been an issue for some months now. Disgusting.
Samuel Kim (05/07/2025, 02:09):
Hand sanitizers are available at the entrance for your convenience. The selection of products is quite extensive, and you can find a wide range of items to choose from. Don't forget to check out the weekly discount coupons that are regularly posted on the mobile app for some great savings!
Philip Collins (01/07/2025, 10:14):
Today we visited the supermarket and were appalled by the state of the customer toilets. We spoke to the staff about it, and they informed us that the cleaner doesn't work on weekends. Honestly, you would have thought that the toilets hadn't been cleaned in a week. If that's the standard of cleanliness, we won't be returning. I even took photos on my phone to show the staff.
Chloe Nguyen (27/06/2025, 00:18):
I absolutely adore shopping at Lidl - the prices are fantastic and there's such a wide variety of products to choose from. Dealing with some health issues has meant that I've had to take things slowly, but their protein range is just what I needed. Now I can indulge in a decadent double chocolate pudding knowing it's also good for me. Massive kudos to Lidl for their efforts, and the staff are truly exceptional!
Amy Scott (26/06/2025, 17:42):
This store is a bit larger than the average one, so it carries a wider selection of products... you know, like those durable goods and tools that you never realized you needed until you laid eyes on them😀
Since it's a new establishment, they've got six self-service checkout stations... and believe me, they actually function better than those in other stores! Plus, the staff at the checkout counter seem to have both eyes and a brain.
Totally digging Lidl!
Judy Murphy (26/06/2025, 03:34):
I recently popped into this supermarket and was proper impressed by the cracking prices they had on a wide variety of products. When I compared them to other supermarkets nearby, this one always had lower prices on loads of items I was after, from fresh fruit and veg to pantry essentials. I also liked that they had regular deals and promos, which made it even more affordable to grab all my top picks. Even with the low prices, I didn't feel like I was skimping on quality, as the products were all top-notch and fresh. All in all, I strongly recommend this supermarket to anyone looking for bang-up value for their dosh.
