Decent-sized supermarket. Always bustling with activity. Wide range of products and never a long queue at the tills.
Philip Myers (08/08/2025, 01:55):
The staff appeared uninterested in assisting. Very unhelpful. They declined to take back a recently purchased item (a pair of work trousers) within 24 hours of the transaction, despite being unworn except for trying on. Disappointing overall. When seeking assistance in-store, I was simply directed vaguely, "They'll be over there somewhere". No effort made to verify stock availability or aid in any way. Customer interaction felt forced and lacking.

I have noticed that M&S has had to adapt multiple times due to a lack of interest or spending in their clothing line. Regardless of personal preferences, the store always appears to be quite busy. As a wheelchair user, navigating through the shop's fitting rails and display plinths of varying heights can be very challenging. While the store does have an elevator, accessing it can be extremely difficult, especially with clothing rails near the doors and limited space for pushchairs.

The food court also lacks sufficient space, but the staff there are notably helpful. The car park is spacious and well organized, although I suspect that the blue badge parking near the food court may be misused.

I highly recommend visiting the cafe upstairs as it offers great quality items, although they might come at a higher price.
Melissa Morales (05/08/2025, 15:20):
In the current circumstances, it feels like everything is the same as always because M&S has made shopping stress-free. The friendly staff are always willing to help, and the clear floor markings guide you in the right direction. 😁😁👍

I was on the hunt for a new work suit, and the fit and style specialist at M&S noticed me browsing and kindly offered assistance in finding the right size, which I greatly appreciated due to my oddly proportioned body. I ended up purchasing a suit that fit me fantastically well, and I was extremely satisfied with the outcome. A huge shoutout to John, who was incredibly helpful throughout my visit.
Kevin Nguyen (03/08/2025, 19:15):
I do love popping over to the M&S food hall for all my grocery bits and bobs. The range they stock is top-notch, miles ahead of any other supermarket. The quality is superb too. Their produce is always so fresh, their meats are top-tier, and their selection simply outshines the competition.
Richard Cooper (01/08/2025, 21:04):
I must say, this M&S is top-notch compared to any others in the city center - the staff are simply lovely and really helpful! The atmosphere of the store is so cozy and welcoming overall. Not to mention, it's much larger and offers a wider range of amenities.
Stephanie Campbell (29/07/2025, 00:24):
Great supermarket, the food is top-notch. I'm a huge fan of Marks and Spencer and it's my go-to spot for my weekly grocery shopping! The employees are friendly and incredibly helpful, and I must say the café is quite lovely! The variety of food options is fantastic, and once again, the staff members were really kind.
William Kelly (26/07/2025, 07:37):
The Covid restrictions at the supermarket are just absolutely bonkers, mate. They've got everyone traipsing through the whole bloomin' place, dodging through the clothes section just to end up queuing again for a bite to eat. I popped back after 20 minutes, and lo and behold, no rules, no one-way paths, nuffin'!

It's all a bit slapdash, innit? And once you finally make it into the shop, there's plenty of room and hardly any staff about. I reckon M&S must have a fair few workers on furlough at the taxpayers' expense. Instead, they're creating these unnecessary queues at all their shops (and it's not just this one, mind).

I've lost track of how many times I've rocked up only to turn around and walk straight back out because of these daft systems.
Roger James (22/07/2025, 06:22):
I am absolutely thrilled! I spent ages searching for the perfect suit for my school's leavers' dance. Finally, I stumbled upon this store and they had exactly what I was after at an incredibly affordable price. The quality is outstanding considering how little I paid!
Lucy Gonzales (19/07/2025, 06:57):
If you're looking to grab some grub while battling the brutal British weather, you've come to the right place!

I had to step away for a moment to cool off and peel off a couple layers because, for some bizarre reason, someone with a brilliant mind cranked up the heat so high I nearly keeled over while perusing.

Thanks for almost causing a public fainting spell and potential projectile vomit. Completely unacceptable. What on earth was the person in charge thinking with that decision???

And to top it off? Trying to locate the dinky loo door hidden behind all the stocked shelves in this massive M&S is like finding a needle in a haystack. Again, who in their right mind thought this was a grand idea???
Bobby Gutierrez (15/07/2025, 19:39):
Today at lunchtime, we stopped by the downstairs café for some coffee and sandwiches. The staff we came across were incredibly helpful and cheerful. We interacted with a café manager named Craig, a gentleman named Robert at the counter, and a young woman who was taking care of the drinks. A touch of friendliness can really brighten your day!
Jean Morales (15/07/2025, 05:24):
Top-notch produce is available at this establishment, and the service is provided by a highly skilled team.
Eugene Hill (14/07/2025, 20:14):
Lovely spot, always a pleasant atmosphere.
Gary Nguyen (11/07/2025, 15:03):
The food hall was bustling with activity, and the ready-made meals were of excellent quality. I also picked up some delightful bed linens and other items. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit.
Jeremy Myers (10/07/2025, 10:50):
I absolutely adore this supermarket, it is a one-stop-shop for all your needs. However, I do find that the staff seem preoccupied with restocking shelves rather than providing friendly and attentive service. It would greatly benefit the shopping experience if a walkway were to be installed from the M&S Foods section customer service desk to the main store, as the aisle beyond the checkouts tends to get congested with traffic.
Abigail Brown (09/07/2025, 15:21):
Loads of fancy clothes in this year, I grabbed a couple of items from here. The attire is quite elegant with a wide selection of lovely coats. It's a pretty massive shop, so it's worth a visit. This particular piece caught my eye the most, as there are plenty more options to choose from. Cheers!
Nicole Rodriguez (09/07/2025, 05:26):
I recently purchased a suit from the Supermarket on the 11th of January, 2023. I tried it on in the fitting room and had no problems. However, when I wore the suit out for a day of work, I realized it was a bit snug when sitting at my desk. I decided to return the item and went back to the store. When I explained to the cashier that I wanted a refund, she refused, stating that I had worn the suit. I requested to speak to a manager, and Jenny reiterated that they could not issue a refund due to me wearing the suit.

As someone who works in the same sector, I found this policy unusual. I asked for the head office number and Jenny provided me with the customer service line. After speaking with Lucas from customer service, who was very helpful, he suggested I return to the store so he could discuss the issue with Jenny. After a lengthy conversation with Jenny and her deputy manager, Lindsey or Lindsay, they continued to argue that refunds are typically not given for items with removed labels.

After 45 minutes of back and forth, they finally inspected the suit and acknowledged that it was in sellable condition. Despite their initial resistance, I was eventually granted a refund. I want to express my gratitude to Lucas for his assistance in resolving this matter. I also lodged a complaint with him regarding the store's handling of the situation and he assured me that they would receive training on refund procedures.

Ultimately, I was able to achieve the outcome I sought. It is important to be aware of consumer protection laws and policies in such situations. It seems that the staff at this Supermarket may have let their egos interfere with following proper protocols. Therefore, I would recommend avoiding this store at all costs due to their unhelpful and rude behavior.
Robert Jenkins (08/07/2025, 02:10):
This M&S is a proper big one, with all the usual stuff you'd expect. They even have a cafe and a kebab grill, can you believe it? Service is quick and the staff are really friendly. Just watch out because parking at Braehead can get pretty hectic during busy times.
Jean Parker (07/07/2025, 04:14):
This market is quite lovely, it has just about everything you could need. The staff are really friendly and helpful. It's a fantastic spot for enjoying a coffee and indulging in some cake.
