I used the scan on the go feature to pay for my items, and when I got to the checkout, the wicked witch of the west came over to me. She snatched my receipt from the dispenser and started questioning me about not paying for some items. Despite assuring her that I had scanned and paid for everything, including two 30p bags, she held onto my receipt tightly and insisted on checking it herself. The way she approached me felt more like a threat than a standard store procedure. While I understand the importance of preventing theft, her aggressive behavior and intimidating tactics were completely uncalled for. I left the store feeling shaken and it took me a while to calm down.

I must share my recent experience at your establishment, which has left me quite disheartened. It seems evident that the traditional checkout experience, where one can engage with a friendly cashier, is no longer a priority for your store. The lines at the manned checkout counters are allowed to stretch to absurd lengths, resembling queues at a theme park rather than a supermarket.

I do not hold the blame on the staff, as it is clear that this is a decision made by management. It is disappointing to see a lack of consideration for older customers, who have been loyal patrons and have played a significant role in the success of companies like yours. The increasing reliance on self-service machines may be convenient for some, but not for those of us who struggle with mobility issues or have difficulty seeing small screens.

Great clean store, checkout girls were helpful and pleasant. However, social distancing was completely ignored and people were not wearing masks or sanitizing their hands, which was disappointing for the store.

Gas and electric are supposed to be available until 10pm...they tend to close this off early and shouldn't, it's a vital service that could be needed by vulnerable people. Not everyone has a car and can drive around the town for this service. If it's meant to be 10pm, it should be 10pm.

Just had an ASDA delivery, chap shows up and asks me to come outside and lend a hand as there were 15 baskets. I explain I have 4 kiddos under 10, including a 1 and 2-year-old. Suddenly, only 7 baskets appear at my door along with the cat litter and juice bottles that accounted for the rest of the order. Apparently, the rest wasn't even on his van! Lazy bloke, I mean, when I pay for a delivery, I expect it to be delivered, not to have to assist the fella who's being paid to do the job! ASDA offers to refund the missing items, but really, that's the least they can do after the hassle of missing juice and having to use the cat litter sparingly till I get more! Just great, let me just pop out and buy more stuff I've already paid for, all this at half past seven on a Friday night, utterly absurd!

I popped into the supermarket a few days back, couldn't spot what I needed, so I approached a staff member for assistance. The glare I received from her, as I dared to disrupt her chat with a colleague! It felt like I was in the wrong for seeking help! Regrettably, it seems high time for ASDA management to reign in their team! Lidl has won me over as a new customer, no doubt about it.

I wouldn't recommend relying on the closing hours of this establishment. It may claim to shut its doors at 11pm, but don't be surprised to find them closed up shop when you arrive at 10:45.
